We all say that we want to be innovative; that innovation will be the key to our success.
True innovation in our schools means that we will need to actually involve our constituencies in a collaborative process that leads to an innovation in the way we operate, teach, etc.
Under the current system of "innovation", we tend to put up barriers and rely on our internal resources only. Ask parents?! Grandparents?! Students?! Pure anathema.
Is that really innovation? Or is that merely streamlining ideas and processes that already exist, in an effort to be more efficient.
