I think your post should be required reding for every tech integration specialist in schools. Too often it becomes all about the technology and particular gadgets and programs. Then teachers are made to feel as if they are bad if they don't keep integrating the newest. So they feel as if they are being asked to teach technology rather than their subject.

I always encourage my tech people to focus first on teachers' objectives. A key question: "What would you like to be able to do? Maybe we can find a way technology would help you do that." This opens a door for further inegration as the teacher grows. This approach is time intensive, but the individualization pays off in further progress in various classrooms.
